From Monferrato to Turin
In the 1930s, Giuseppe Bosso and Maria Varvello, small landowners, emigrated from Frinco d’Asti, a village in Monferrato with ancient Germanic origins dating back to 1100, to Turin. In 1931 their first son, Cesare, was born.
The Beginnings
In Turin they opened a trattoria with a wine shop in the popular Aurora Valdocco district, not far from Don Bosco’s famous first Salesian Oratory. Simple, genuine cuisine, carefully chosen wines, and on the table the authentic flavor of Monferrato. In 1940, just before Italy entered the war, their second son Roberto was born.
The 1970s
Enterprise, warmth, and affordable prices made the trattoria a local landmark. Before long, the Bosso family managed to take over a well-known city restaurant, *Il Muletto*. The real turning point came with the acquisition of the liquor factory "Ditta Foglia di Bosso di G. & C" at the Docks Piemontesi.
The Story Continues
Giuseppe Bosso and Maria Varvello are my grandparents. Cesare is my father, and Roberto my beloved uncle. Together with my husband and our descendants, under the brand Docks Stazione, I decided to revive and reinterpret the historic recipe of Genzianella, transforming it into a contemporary aperitif. The name Treblasé is not only an attitude but above all a musical homage.
